Eddie served as an assistant/hitting coach for the Carolina Vipers 2019 showcase team for the 2016 & 2017 seasons while completing his degree at UNC Charlotte.  Eddie currently serves as a Head Coach for the class of 2020 Five Star Vipers.

 

2016: Played in 24 games with a team-high 19 pinch-hit appearances and three starts … set new career-high with his two hits against William & Mary on February 20th … hit pinch-hit, two-run double against UAB in game two helped the Niners prevail 6-4 in the winner-take-all contest for the final Conference USA tournament berth … hit .250 going 6-for-24 in his plate appearances … hit .500 on the year with a runner at third and less than two outs.

 

2015: Appeared in 22 games this season mostly in a pinch-hit role as one of the first Niners off the bench late in games … pinch-hit in 18 of his 22 contests … hit .364 in 22 plate appearances, sporting a .438 average going 7-of-16 in his pinch-hitting opportunities … went 5-for-14 hitting .357 with a pair of runs scored in Conference USA action … made collegiate debut on February 22nd at home against Akron going 1-for-3 with a two-out RBI single … collected eight hits overall in 2015 with the RBI and three runs scored … first extra-base hit came in the form of a double against #15 Dallas Baptist on May 2nd … hit .329 against lefties at the plate, .375 leading off and .333 with two outs … named to Conference USA’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll … Athletic Director’s List (fall and spring).

 

Prep – Transferred to Charlotte after attending Louisburg College earning Dean’s List honors … played High School ball at nearby Charlotte Catholic for Head Coach Randy Belk … led the Cougars to three-straight MEGA-7 Conference Championships and three-straight appearance in the third round of the state tournament … hit .435 in his three-year letterman career at Charlotte Catholic … named the MEGA-7 Conference Player of the Year, member of the All-Charlotte Observer and All-State First Team as a senior … named a two-time All-MEGA 7 conference and All-South Charlotte Weekly team member.
